Description de posteBachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or equivalent. 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a Solution Architect capacity within a retail / supply-chain organization. Extensive experience in the retail / supply chain industry, familiar with application systems and business practices. Experience in solutioning end-to-end full-stack applications and integrating SaaS and PaaS systems. Proven experience in building technology roadmaps spanning 3-5 years. Experience in vendor evaluation and scoring of modern technologies / tools. Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in mentoring technical team members and providing technical leadership. Familiarity with architectural frameworks and patterns. Experience working in a SAFE® / Agile environment. Experience contributing to multiple medium to large size initiatives simultaneously. Familiarity with streaming platforms (e.g., Confluent Kafka) for real-time data at massive scale. Experience with AWS or other public clouds from a system design perspective. Experience working with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, or other container schedulers.
We are seeking a Solution Architect to design high-performing and thoughtfully architected software applications that meet our internal business needs and enhance guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in applying architectural best practices and forward-thinking approaches to build, enhance, and sustain technology solutions that support our rapidly growing organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design system architecture and roadmap.
- Utilize architectural best practices and standards in design and build.
- Design and document reusable and scalable frameworks and components.
- Provide initial effort and cost assessments for departmental initiatives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with counterparts in other departments to ensure technology solutions are built for the enterprise.
- Assist management in making technology decisions by evaluating risk and ROI.
- Participate and contribute to yearly strategic initiative planning and funding discussions.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Domain Architects, and Lead Engineers to bring projects from concept to implementation.
- Serve as the primary technical solution design architect for one or more teams and their systems and integrations.
- Act as the primary decision escalation resource for addressing architecture and integration issues affecting the team.
- Continuously drive improvements in performance, security, automation, quality, monitoring, and reliability of platforms.
- Develop and maintain current and future-state architecture models and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, technologies, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies, and develop proof of concept projects to validate innovative ideas.
