We are seeking a skilled EMC Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring aircraft protection against electromagnetic threats, including inter-system EMI, ESD, HIRF, and lightning. This role requires deep technical expertise in electromagnetic compatibility, compliance assessment, and regulatory certification processes.You will get to expand your skills int eh following areas. Executing complex EMC engineering assignments, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.Assessing compliance with fuel tank explosion prevention requirements for new and existing products.Reviewing electromagnetic qualification documentation, covering areas such as magnetic effects, audio frequency susceptibility, RF emissions, lightning direct and indirect effects, and electrostatic discharge.Conducting aircraft-level inter-system electromagnetic interference (EMI) assessments.Evaluating modifications and non-conformances at the aircraft level for compliance with certification regulations.Engaging with system suppliers through design reviews and technical meetings to optimize designs and reduce costs.Contributing to continued airworthiness projects by identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities (TC, EASA, FAA).Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (specialization in Electromagnetics is a strong asset).5+ years of experience in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) within the aerospace industry.General knowledge of aircraft and system design.Skills & CompetenciesExpertise in electromagnetic fields, transmission lines, antennas, propagation, signal integrity, and EMI / EMC.Strong understanding of 14 CFR 25.954 & 25.981 regulations, including fuel tank protection against lightning, HIRF, and static electricity.Familiarity with DO-160, SAE ARP, FAA advisory circulars, and airworthiness regulations.Ability to analyze aircraft modifications and determine compliance with certification requirements.Experience with EMA3D electromagnetic threat simulation tools is an asset.Self-motivated, proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills.If you are a highly skilled EMC Engineer looking to take on an exciting role in the aerospace industry, apply today!
