Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their team! The ideal candidate must have Level 1 General Insurance License, at least 8 years relevant underwriting experience and prior MGA experience.
Location : Remote in BC
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to :
- Reviewing and responding to internal Underwriting referrals on both new and renewal business
- Assist members of the UW team with workflow balance and setting of goals / objectives
- Identify significant trends with a view to provide recommendations that are aligned with strategic and operational plans
- Assist in development & deployment of underwriting development / learning strategy and materials
- Coordinate with VP of Underwriting in terms of production monitoring, report preparation and review of analytics
- Maintain and establish relationships with retail producing brokers by encouraging additional submission inflow
