Adecco is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Waste Management Labourer to join our client's dynamic team based in Saint John and / or Fredericton , NB. This is a temporary position within the waste management industry, offering hands-on work, physical activity, and the opportunity to contribute to the community by ensuring efficient waste disposal.

  • Location : Saint John and / or Fredericton , NB
  • Shifts : Monday-Friday
  • Job type : Temporary | Full-time

    • Responsibilities :

  • Assist with the operation of the garbage truck and follow the assigned daily route in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collect garbage from buildings, businesses, and other facilities as per schedule to ensure waste is disposed of according to established policies and procedures.
  • Dismount garbage trucks to collect waste, then remount trucks to proceed to the next collection point.
  • Sort recyclable materials and place them in designated truck compartments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
  • Safely operate and manage waste collection on assigned routes.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the sorting of recyclables.
  • Ensure compliance with local waste disposal guidelines.

    • Requirements :

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Comfortable working in various and changing weather conditions.
  • Excellent coordination skills.
  • A team-oriented attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
  • Own transportation to and from work is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and following safety policies.
  • Steel toed boots required
  • Must have own reliable transportation to get to and from work location. Public transportation is not an option.
  • Early starts at 6 : 30 am until route is complete.
