Job Title : Automotive Painter

Location : Ontario

Required hours : 4,800 hours per year of Full time employment

We are looking for a talented Automotive Painter to join our dynamic team. This key role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying high-quality finishes, and ensuring that each job meets industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive painting techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering top-notch results. Key Responsibilities :

Surface Preparation : Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by performing tasks such as sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.

Mixing & Application : Mix, match, and apply paint to vehicles based on manufacturer specifications, using spray guns and other painting tools to achieve a smooth, even finish.

Quality Control : Inspect completed paint jobs to ensure high-quality standards, consistency, and an even finish. Address any imperfections or issues promptly.

Work Area Maintenance : Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety protocols and ensuring that paint and chemical materials are handled correctly.

Team Collaboration : Communicate effectively with team members to ensure workflow is efficient and deadlines are met. Collaborate on larger projects to ensure timely completion.

Safety & Environmental Compliance : Handle and dispose of paint and chemical materials in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

On-going Learning : Continuously improve your skills by staying up to date with the latest painting techniques, tools, and industry trends.

Requirements :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience : Proven experience as an automotive painter or in a similar role. A portfolio or examples of previous work is a plus.

Technical Knowledge : Strong knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and equipment, particularly spray painting and the use of automotive-grade paints.

Attention to Detail : High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure flawless finishes and consistent results.

Physical Stamina & Dexterity : Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods and using hand tools and spray equipment.

Fast-Paced Environment : Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines without compromising quality.

Communication Skills : Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate well within a team and take direction as needed.
