Exemplary organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Detail oriented with the capability to work independently, take initiative, and effectively problem solve. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
General Accountant
Our Oil & Gas client in Calgary is seeking an experienced General Accountant to join their accounting team. A successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, joint venture and general accounting, tax compliance, and banking. This role will is at the client’s downtown office, working 100% in person.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Record cash transactions, reconcile bank accounts monthly, and maintain master data in Qbyte FM.
- Process accounts payable invoices in OpenInvoice, ensuring proper coding, sorting, approval, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitor OpenInvoice for timely invoice approvals and manage priority and critical payments to meet deadlines.
- Review and resolve supplier account discrepancies, including reconciling and collecting credits.
- Handle vendor inquiries, joint venture billing disputes, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
- Participate in process optimization, system development, and regular accounting team meetings to address business requirements and enhance efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment and support team success while managing ad hoc projects.
