Description de posteManage and mentor a team of bookkeepers and junior accountants. Review and approve client financial statements, reconciliations, and reports prepared by the team. Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency. Conduct training and provide guidance to ensure the team maintains high performance. Improve financial workflows using cloud-based accounting tools (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wagepoint, etc.). Implement automation tools and best practices to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with the leadership team to refine internal controls and accounting policies. CPA designation (or equivalent). 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or advisory services. Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience managing a team / mentoring junior staff Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and cloud-based accounting tools. Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations. Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Wagepoint), tax compliance, and regulatory filings. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Excellent communication skills. High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Exciting leadership role in a growing firm serving North American businesses. Role Overview
As a Finance Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations for our clients, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality financial reporting. This role demands a strong accounting background, leadership skills, and the ability to build relationships.
