Required Skills & Experience

  • Business and / or accounting designation strongly preferred or working towards designation (MBA / CFA / CMA / CGA / CA).
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a finance-related role, preferably including 3+ years as a finance manager.
  • Strong financial experience with large portfolios.
  • Expertise in financial planning, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Clarity, and Hyperion.
  • Ability to manage multiple jurisdictions and consolidate GLs.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills for executive presentations.

  • Job Description

    Insight Global is looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager for one of our clients, one of the big five banks. You will be a key support forsecurities technology finance portfolios. This role involves managing a substantial portfolio and requires a deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling complex financial data, managing vendor and people costs, and providing insightful analysis to senior executives.

    Key Responsibilities :

    Planning, Reporting, Forecasting (50%)

  • Lead and oversee the development of monthly / quarterly / annual reporting, planning, and forecasting operating results packages.
  • Oversee a large portfolio, spanning across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive change by building stronger relationships with key business partners and the development of new value-added project analytics.
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages productivity, innovation, creativity, teamwork, analysis, and advice – act as a role model.
  • Manage resource spend involving vendor contracts and people costs.
  • Allocate expenses across multiple regions and business lines
  • Understand and manage FX impacts on forecast planning.
  • Consolidate data sources from various general ledger streams and provide regional insights.
  • Summarize main drivers and story tell results to senior executives (AVPs, VPs, SVPs, CIOs etc.).
  • Support Ad-Hoc Requests (35%)

  • Respond to funding and allocation requests to provide business insight.
  • Provide quick and accurate regional reports for auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain data accuracy and update cost centers or structure changes as needed.
  • Interpret data at a macro-level to provide holistic support to the TDS line of business.
  • Business Cases (5%)

  • Review of business cases and incorporate financial impact into Forecast and Plan.
  • Identify ongoing costs and manage resource spend effectively.
  • Productivity and Automation (5%)

  • Leverage tools such as Power Bi and Power Query to implement automation processes.
  • Introduce fresh ideas and new business practices.
  • Self-Development (5%) :

  • Engage in continuous training and process improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest financial practices and tools.
  • Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D.
