Job Description
We are looking for a field service technician with a good grasp of electronics / electrical systems.
The opportunity involves working for a company that specializes in manufacturing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing specialized machinery used in the food industry.
In this role, you will work on customer sites around Greater Saskatoon and be involved in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment which has a central computer and other electronic components. You will succeed if you are technically sound with reading electrical schematics. You will be excellent at prioritizing and planning tasks, managing time, and effectively servicing machines on customer site. You will be successful if you come from a a field service role.
There is outstanding training available and the opportunity to travel to Europe for learning and development. You will also enjoy great job perks and benefits, and will be offered a competitive wage with a vehicle and gas card. The work is not overly physical, small crawling and maneuvering required but no heavy lifting or working in heavy industrial environments with excessive uncleanliness. Generally candidates are encouraged to work overtime although its not forced. Most technicians are earning 6 figures. Required Qualifications
- Valid passport
- Clean driver's abstract
- Able to pass a background check
- Proof of 2 shots of Covid vaccine
- Living in Greater Vancouver, BC or surrounding area
- Field service engineer or field service technician experience
- Able to read electrical / electronic schematics / diagrams
- Interested in working full-time and hopefully some overtime
- Friendly and co-operative personality who can get along well with customers and co-workers
