ARES Staffing SolutionsVancouver, BCOnly candidates with commercial network cabling (CAT 5 / 6) will be considered.The Implementation Technician will install and maintain communication hardware and networks in large-scale commercial and retail environments.ResponsibilitiesInterpret and manage work orders, drawings and specificationsPerform site inspectionsAssemble and set up all tools, materials and equipmentTest computer peripherals, hardware and software to ensure they are working appropriatelyInstall network and peripheral hardware (servers, switches, RF devices, POS, printers, etc.)Test, review and troubleshoot installed systemsInstall, fish, dress, cross connect and terminated UTP, coax and fibre cableLiaise with customers and internal team members to coordinate and schedule hardware / cabling installationsQualificationsExperience installing various types of network infrastructure equipment (switches, routers, servers, modems, wireless access points, etc.)Experience troubleshooting cabling, network and hardware related issues onsiteAble to operate hand and power toolsMust possess a full driver’s licence (G or Class 5 at minimum)Must have own vehicle and be able to travel to job sites independentlyWork EnvironmentRevolving day / night shifts, weekends / on-call, call-backs and overtimeExtensive travel throughout an assigned geographical region
