At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

About the team and the role

eBay's Electronics & Home Improvement (EHI) business connects buyers and sellers across electronics and home improvement categories. Its growth agenda includes category expansion and better buyer and seller experiences. Scaling across categories and geographies requires coordinated commercial and operational execution.

As Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives - EHI, you will lead business planning and operational execution for priority growth initiatives across categories and markets. You will translate the EHI strategy into integrated market plans, establish clear operating processes, and bring commercial and functional teams together to deliver successful launches and sustained adoption.

Reporting to the leader of P&A and EHI Strategy & Operations, you will own integrated business initiative delivery and operational readiness.

What you will accomplish

· Translate EHI priorities into business initiatives. Frame growth and customer opportunities, build business cases, and recommend priorities, success measures, and trade-offs with global and market business leaders.

· Lead cross-market business initiatives. Build and drive integrated business plans for expansion across categories and geographies, aligning market sequencing, commercial milestones, workstream owners, and launch requirements.

· Build a repeatable operating model. Define decision responsibilities, operating processes, cross-market ways of working, and launch playbooks. Align common program requirements while accommodating justified local-market needs.

· Drive market readiness and adoption. Coordinate seller participation and onboarding, commercial plans, operational enablement, communications, training, and customer-support readiness with the teams responsible for each activity.

· Connect business and enabling teams. Align Category Management, market teams, Product, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Trust, Finance, and Analytics around shared requirements and outcomes.

· Resolve cross-category and cross-market barriers. Surface execution gaps, resource constraints, risks, and conflicting priorities early. Develop options, secure decisions, and coordinate follow-through across workstreams.

· Track outcomes beyond launch. Define success measures with Finance and Analytics, monitor initiative adoption, participating sellers, selection, customer experience, and business impact, and drive improvements based on results.

· Create clear leadership visibility. Run focused initiative reviews, synthesize performance and market feedback, and present concise recommendations. Capture lessons, improve playbooks, and drive continued operational improvement after launch.

What you will bring

· Operating experience. 6+ years of hands-on experience in business operations, commercial operations, or operational leadership of cross-functional business initiatives, with direct responsibility for implementation, ongoing performance, and measurable business results.

· Strategic and commercial judgment. Ability to structure ambiguous business problems, evaluate opportunities, develop business cases, and recommend practical trade-offs using customer insights, financial analysis, and performance data.

· Hands-on execution. Demonstrated experience launching and scaling business initiatives, building and running repeatable operating processes, and improving performance after launch. Ability to lead interconnected workstreams across functions and markets with clear milestones, dependencies, and follow-through.

· Leadership through influence. Ability to align senior stakeholders, constructively challenge assumptions, resolve competing priorities, and secure commitments from teams that do not report to you.

· Analytical and communication skills. Ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations and concise executive materials. Strong working proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and PowerPoint or Google Slides.

· Education and global collaboration. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across North American and European time zones.

Additional experience that would be valuable

· Experience in e-commerce, two-sided marketplaces, electronics, home improvement, refurbished products, or recommerce.

· Experience leading multi-country or multi-category commercial launches, customer-experience improvements, or programs that strengthen buyer and seller trust.

· Experience turning customer and seller needs into practical operating processes and sustained improvements in adoption and service quality.

This role offers the opportunity to shape how a global business scales new growth initiatives, combining strategic thinking, cross-market leadership, and hands-on operational execution.
