TheRegistered Nurse will be a valued member of CHCA - Travel Nurse Team, providingculturally safe care for Indigenous patients and families in remote, isolatedor semi-isolated areas across Manitoba.
Thisapproach includes delivery of primary care and public health services through aset of integrated and accessible health care services. Public health involvesworking collaboratively with community members to identify health prioritieswhile addressing and promoting community health care prevention.
Re quirements
Experience :
Tobe considered for this position, you must have but not limited to :
3000hours of clinical experience acquired within the last 3 years.
Experiencerelated to performing complex activities in a wide variety of situations in eitherof the following areas : Primary / Acute / Intensive care, Urgent / Emergencycare Or Community health (public health and home and community care)
Education& Credentials :
Recognized Canadian Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Valid CRNM license for Manitoba in good standing
Havingan up to date certification in the following areas :
BasicLife Support (BLS) for healthcare providers issued by the Heart and StrokeFoundation of Canada or the American Heart Association
AdvancedCardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), andInternational Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
Valid class “G” or equivalent driver's license
Mask-fit Tested
WHMIS
TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)
Medical Clearance from applicant’s primary care provider
Willingness and ability to travel in small aircraft, off road vehicles and byboat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas
Being comfortable working in a rigorous and diverse work environment
May be required to be temporarily reassigned to other communities asoperationally required
Flexibility to perform on call duties, work after hours / overnight, and onweekends as required
Eager to complete mandatory education / training relevant to the position
