Description de posteMinimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position Proven expertise in Auditing and Budget Processes Demonstrated proficiency in preparing Monthly Financial Statements and Financial Reporting Experience in Regulatory Reporting and Budgeting - Forecasting In-depth knowledge of Corporate Tax Compliance Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required Familiarity with creating and implementing Policies & Procedures Strong People Management skills Proven ability in defining and executing Corporate Strategy Experience in the Gas Industry would be advantageous Prior experience in the Construction industry is also beneficial.
Our well respected and growing client is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Finance / CFO to join our their team. This role is pivotal in the management and direction of all financial and accounting processes within the organization and manages a large accounting operations team from a Controller down. .
Responsibilities :
- Supervising the organization's daily accounting activities, which include the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements and reports to the senior management team.
- Assisting the senior management team and department leads to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.
- Ensuring the integrity of all financial transactions through thorough review and evaluation.
- Collaborating with the accounting team to streamline and enhance processes.
- Implementing best practices and internal controls after assessing and reviewing them.
- Supporting other departments in achieving organizational objectives.
- Coordinating with various government departments to ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Preparing annual working papers and reports and liaising with external accountants.
- Ensuring timely completion of all regulatory filings and payments.
Qualifications :
Ability to do business in both official language is desirable and considered a very strong asset. This is a fully on site role in the South of Ottawa.
