The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for assisting the General Manager in planning, directing and coordinating all activities of the Maintenance Department. All activities are directed to achieve company objectives at the safest, lowest possible cost and the highest possible quality level. He / She is also responsible for providing leadership to the Maintenance team including managing the activities of the department.

Maintenance Supervisor Job Duties
Assist in leading the team to the budgeted targets within the operational plan
Identify key issues / opportunities across all departments, prioritize, action plan and follow through to completion
Assist in planning, directing and coordinating all activities of the Maintenance Department. All activities are directed to achieve company objectives at the lowest possible cost and the highest possible quality levels.
Assisting in managing the Maintenance department and ensures that all equipment and the facility meet HS&E standards and ensure compliance with any applicable legislation, assist with continual improvement projects and IATF16949 : 2016 requirements.
Provide equipment uptimes of >
92% by utilizing a Preventative Maintenance system.
Investigates and coordinate solutions to problems and excessive costs identified in the Maintenance department.
Assist in hiring, evaluations, discipline and terminations of employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
Ensures that the Maintenance department is staffed with competent personnel. Initiates and coordinates / conducts annual performance reviews and training activities for all personnel.
Support the Quality, Engineering, Materials & Tool room departments, in providing assistance to solve problems and for Continuous Improvement Projects that they may initiate.
Works to lead coordinate and follow up on Continuous Improvement Projects in the Maintenance department.
Works as part of the APQP team to ensure that all new product launches are on time and produced with the highest possible quality level and lowest possible cost.
Assist in ensuring that proper records are kept and reports generated of all activities in the Maintenance department to facilitate problem solving and control costs.
Investigates and works on corrective and preventive action for quality concerns identified internally or at the customer.
Manages all aspects of the Integrated Technologies Preventive Maintenance system to ensure that equipment is maintained in good condition at all times.
Follows and enforces policies and guidelines as defined in the Associate Handbook.
Maintenance Supervisor Job Requirements
Licensed Trade Certificates electrical and / or mechanical.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Millwright or Electrician Certificate.
experience in a similar role in a stamping and welding facility.
Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Familiar with PSR requirements, lock out, confined space and safe operation of lift equipment.
Knowledge of IATF16946 : 2016 and Quality Management.
Safety conscious at all times.
Knowledge of GHS.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Excellent problem solving skills.
Strong time management abilities.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role in a stamping and welding facility.
Good PLC and Robot programming skills
