Job Description :
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production and loading operations. The supervisor ensures that all employees work safely and efficiently, follow established procedures, and adhere to the production schedule.
Responsibilities :
Lead and support safety initiatives to achieve a zero-injury workplace.
Address safety issues promptly and conduct effective safety meetings.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Set clear performance expectations and drive improvements.
Submit and ensure completion of repair work requests.
Supervise, lead, and coach employees.
Manage efficient packaging operations and meet performance targets.
Adhere to the production schedule.
Ensure compliance with quality control requirements and drive continuous improvements.
Maintain high standards for housekeeping and manage tasks efficiently.
Minimize scrap, waste, or rework from packaging operations.
Organize finished products in the warehouse to minimize damage and facilitate stock rotation.
Accurately report production data using the Bar Code System.
Record loss accounting data accurately.
Communicate maintenance, production, quality, and safety issues during shift handoffs.
Ensure proper withdrawal of parts from storerooms.
Efficiently utilize department mechanics and develop weekly schedules.
Provide vacation relief as needed.
Check the accuracy of employees’ timecards and payroll entries.
Skills and Qualifications :
Knowledge of technical information related to the unit / area.
Understanding of operating procedures, maintenance processes, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a production environment.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Flexible schedule and overtime may be required.
Respond to urgent situations outside of normal working hours.
Work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods.
Perform manual activities, including lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work in varied temperatures and humidity environments.
Wear required PPE and access all work areas.
Use full range of motion in general office and production environments.
