The Chief People, Culture and Diversity (CPCD) reports to the Chief Ambulance Officer and Executive Vice President BCEHS and is a member of the BCEHS Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The CPCD has executive-level, strategic leadership responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including health and wellness, mental health, learning and development, culture, diversity, equity and inclusion, and recognition. The CPCD is responsible for the development and delivery of the Strategic People Plan, as well as the operations plans and management structure to ensure the effective delivery of all people services.
The CPCD sets the tone for the culture and people philosophy, and works in collaboration with PHSA’s People and Culture department, providing leadership with internal and external partners across BCEHS, PHSA, HEABC. Working in a complex unionized environment, the CPCD is responsible for establishing and maintaining a constructive labour relations environment, including overseeing the collective bargaining process, to support a shared commitment to the well being of employees.
