Our Transportation Sector client has multiple major projects to deliver over the next 5 years and beyond, which will provide significant value to the region. These projects focus on expanding and improving public transit, roads, bridges, and active transportation infrastructure to support regional mobility and sustainability initiatives.
We are seeking experienced IT Project Managers to support the delivery of these transformative infrastructure projects. As a contract-based IT Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of technology components, ensuring alignment with project goals, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage IT-related components of infrastructure projects from initiation through delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and external vendors
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, scope, and resource allocation
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution
- Oversee system integrations, data migrations, and implementation of new technologies as required
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, data security, and privacy regulations
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders
- Foster a collaborative project environment with clear communication and accountability
Requirements :
Proven experience managing complex IT projects, preferably in transportation, infrastructure, or public sector environmentsFamiliarity with infrastructure project lifecycles and their IT needsStrong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, or similar.Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlinesPMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is preferredBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
