Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Scales Drug Store in Swan River, Manitoba .

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities :

  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
  • Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
  • Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
  • Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
  • Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
  • Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
  • Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
  • Previous experience within a pharmacy is preferred.
  • Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes / containers
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

    • Schedule :

  • 40 hours per week.
  • The store is open Monday through Friday from 9 : 00 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
  • Availability on both weekdays and weekends is required.
  • 8-hour shift
