School Counsellor K-12

The successful candidate will :

hold a valid and subsistent Manitoba Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate with teaching experience in some grades / subjects in K-12

have completed specific post-secondary education in the area of School Counselling towards the Manitoba School Counsellor Certificate a PBDE in Counselling or equivalent from another jurisdiction.

have experience and / or specific training related to Counselling in a school setting. The successful candidate will have the personal skills to effectively relate with students and parents and be proficient in consulting / collaborating with staff.

have experience in providing individual and group counselling to support mental wellness self-regulation and healthy interpersonal relationships

collaborate with teachers to deliver school counselling programs that promote a safe and caring school environment both individual students small groups and in large group settings

demonstrate a strong conviction to and active practice of the Catholic faith and have an educational philosophy that is in keeping with the philosophy and values of Catholic education.
