Job Description :
Our top banking client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Project Manager / Delivery Manager to lead and manage complex technology projects within the Capital Markets domain. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of mission-critical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to drive innovation, mitigate risks, and optimize project outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management Leadership : Lead large-scale technology projects for Capital Markets, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business, technology, and operations teams, to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Delivery & Execution : Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful execution and delivery of technology solutions.
- Risk Management : Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigation strategies and provide ongoing updates to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring alignment with business and technology goals.
- Process Improvement : Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, optimizing workflows, and enhancing efficiency within the delivery lifecycle.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight : Ensure that all projects comply with relevant industry regulations, internal policies, and governance standards.
- Reporting & Communication : Provide regular project status reports, financial updates, and executive-level communications to senior management and stakeholders.
- Vendor Management : Oversee third-party vendors and external partners, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in managing technology delivery within Capital Markets or Financial Services.
PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of Capital Markets technology systems, including trading platforms, risk management tools, and market data systems.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and drive teams to deliver results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate challenges and provide innovative solutions.
Proven ability to engage and manage relationships with senior executives, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Solid experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
