Maritime ElectricCharlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CAMaritime Electric Company, Limited is seeking candidates for the position of T&D Operations Engineer.
Reporting to the Supervisor, T&D Asset Management, the T&D Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting T&D asset programs, capital projects, inspection program priorities, and design reviews.
The T&D Operations Engineer is responsible for but not limited to :
- Participate in the design review and construction planning for new overhead and underground developments.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with customers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Support development, management, and execution of asset management programs, including new line design.
- Support asset data management and GIS model integrity, including data collection and field validation.
- Support equipment forecasting, specification, and review process.
- Review inspection data and support the development of maintenance and capital projects.
- Forecast material and equipment requirements, including conductor, poles, insulators, transformers, underground cable, and underground equipment.
- Provide technical support to the T&D Operations department and field staff as required.
- May be required to support storm response situations, both short and longer duration events.
The successful candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the province or working towards the professional designation is required. The successful candidate will have experience in electrical utilities or a related operations or construction industry. Experience in asset management and / or project management is considered an asset.
This position offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The range of salary would be : $75,000 - $95,000 per annum.
