If you are excited by active transportation , practical project delivery , and technical design using Autodesk Civil 3D , this is a hands-on role where you will help turn concepts into built improvements residents can use every day.
What you will do
As an Engineering Technician II on our Transportation and Development Services team, you will support sustainable mobility and asset management in the municipal right-of-way. With guidance from senior technicians and managers, you will help plan, design, deliver, and close out smaller-scale municipal infrastructure projects—and build your project management experience along the way.
You’ll work on initiatives like :
- Bus stop upgrades
- Crosswalk and safety improvements
- Walking and cycling network enhancements

Requirements include : a two-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution; three months of related experience; eligible for registration with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC; conversant with computer-based engineering applications including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu; and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $37.07 per hour (2024 rate) and an excellent benefits package.
