MacLeod CaresAntigonish, Nova ScotiaMacLeod Cares is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the implementation and management of our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system across licensed MacLeod Cares facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring a seamless transition to the EHR / EMAR system, providing training and ongoing support to clinical staff, and ensuring its integration into daily practices to enhance patient care, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
In addition to managing EHR / EMAR implementation, the RN will take the lead in researching, developing, and implementing best practice standards, policies, and procedures to improve patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance clinical outcomes through evidence-based practices. The RN will foster a culture of continuous improvement in line with the goals of MacLeod Cares.
Key Responsibilities :
- EHR Implementation & Integration Lead HER / EMAR planning, execution, and continuous improvement, ensuring seamless integration with clinical workflows in collaboration with IT, clinical staff, and vendors.Act as the primary contact for EHR / EMAR-related issues, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance system functionality, and participate in quality improvement and safety committees.Ensure EHR / EMAR compliance with regulations (e.g., PHIA), conduct audits, and assist in generating reports for clinical decision-making.
- Best Practice & Policy Development : Research and create evidence-based clinical policies and procedures, integrating national and international standards to improve care and staff efficiency.
- Training & Education : Develop and deliver training on the EHR / EMAR system, policies, and best practices, providing ongoing support to ensure effective adoption.
- Quality Control & Data Integrity : Ensure accurate, complete, and secure patient data within the EHR / EMAR system. Monitor performance, enforce data standards, and implement improvements based on audits and feedback.
- Continuous Improvement : Evaluate and enhance the EHR / EMAR system and related policies, staying current with industry trends and feedback to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
