The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing freight shipments, ensuring efficient load configurations, and maintaining timely and cost-effective deliveries. Experience with Loadlink or similar freight-matching platforms is highly desirable. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.This is an in-person position out of our Mississauga office. Key ResponsibilitiesLoad Planning and Optimization : Analyze customer orders, shipment requirements, and available transportation resources to create optimal load plans. Determine the most efficient routes, modes of transportation, and load configurations to maximize capacity utilization and minimize transportation costs.Shipment Coordination : Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and warehouse personnel, to coordinate shipment schedules and ensure timely order fulfillment. Communicate with carriers and logistics service providers to arrange pickups, deliveries, and transit times.Documentation and Compliance : Carry out administrative duties for inventory and shipments, such as handling invoices, receipts, and tracking numbers. Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and federal transportation regulations.Utilization of Loadlink Platform : Effectively use Loadlink’s freight-matching platform to connect with reliable carriers, find the best-paying loads, and manage trucking business operations.Performance Monitoring : Track deliveries and progress, maintain records of all shipments, and prepare detailed reports on inventory and shipment status. Identify trends and areas for operational improvement.Carrier Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, ensuring competitive rates, high service levels, and long-term partnerships.Issue Resolution : Quickly identify and resolve any issues related to load planning, delays, or discrepancies, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation processes.QualificationsEducation : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Experience : Proven experience in load planning, logistics, or transportation management.Technical Skills : Proficiency in logistics software; experience with Loadlink or similar platforms is a plus. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) are desirable.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions to improve efficiency.Communication and Interpersonal Skills : Strong ability to communicate with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
