Accountant StaffingHappy Valley-Goose Bay, NLOur client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking an Senior Tax & Accounting Analyst to join their team in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the company's tax preparation and financial operations by providing leadership and expertise while supporting continued growth. This is a permanent opportunity, ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial drive and expertise in tax and analysis.
Key Responsibilities for the Job :
Prepare a wide variety of returns, including personal, corporate, small business, U.S., and estate Provide guidance and support for tax teams on technical tax matters Oversee and manage bookkeeping activities Prepare and analyze financial reports Budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections Prepare reconciliations and journal entries Supervise and oversee payroll processing Monitor financial performances and offer cost reduction strategies Collaborate with management on strategic planning Train, mentor, and supervise staff
Experience & Attributes for Success :
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business (diploma or degree) 5+ years’ hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting and / or financial management Strong understanding of GAAP and Canadian tax laws Proficient in accounting software, particularly Quickbooks, and the ability to learn new systems efficiently Solid leadership abilities coupled with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at cultivating meaningful professional connections Ability to efficiently manage workloads, delegate, and meet deadlines Proven problem solving and analytical skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
