About Fermata :
Fermata is a AgTech company working in the Horticulture space and using computer vision and AI to solve challenges faced by commercial agriculture. Fermata’s Croptimus suite uses off-the-shelf cameras to provide 24 / 7 crop monitoring while searching for potential threats. The platform uses AI to compare crop images over time to find and alert of any plant health issues in real time. This approach has already demonstrated the potential to generate 30 percent savings on lost crops, while minimizing the use of harmful pesticides thanks to precise detection.
Position Overview :
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with the strong experience and solid network in the Canadian Horticulture space to join our team and help us establish our operations in Canada. In this role, you will focus on building and facilitating the relationships with Fermata's partners and key accounts, driving growth and expanding our market presence in Canada. If you have a solid background in business development within the Canadian horticulture industry and a passion for innovative technology, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Fermata’s client base and market share in Canada.
- Develop and implement strategic partnerships that align with our business goals.
- Create and implement an effective go-to-market strategies for Fermata products.
- Track and report on business development metrics to assess performance and inform strategy.
