What You Will Do

  • Building long-term relationships with clients by communicating clear expectations; assist in project sizing, resource and scope estimates
  • Leading sessions with business representatives to perform business needs analysis
  • Leading documentation of business initiatives using standardized templates
  • Preparing business requirements documents that clearly define the business problems, business objectives, and options / solutions
  • Participating or leading daily team meetings (scrums)
  • Preparing project plans and providing regular status reports to management
  • Using standard business analysis methodologies
  • Providing and advising on technology solutions to meet business needs
  • Continually assessing new solutions and processes to ensure those solutions meet customer’s expectations
  • Identifying, developing, and documenting testing strategies with acceptance criteria to validate business requirements
  • Providing 2nd level end user support to both internal & external users
  • Configuration of rate tables and products
  • Who You Are

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in the insurance industry is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Consultant is considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong technical acumen and demonstrated experience in data gathering, data analysis, data backfilling, and the creation of conceptual and logical models
  • Knowledge of the Insurance industry is an asset
  • Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Visio and MS Project
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher is an asset
  • CBAP or PMP designation is an asset
