Job Description :
This position will focus on managing and growing our business relationships of ethnic store coverage within assigned territory in Ontario. As a Business Development Associate, you will report directly to Ethnic Sales Head and play a crucial role in driving profitability, growing portfolio, increasing market share, and establishing Al Safa Foods as a trusted brand in the Canadian ethnic market.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities :
- Responsible to drive sales and distribution in assigned territory
- Plan and execute the plans to achieve monthly and years KPIs
- Merchandizing Items in store – to ensure maximum visibility on shelf.
- Promoting / selling / securing orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
- Product Demonstration of existing and new products to current / potential customers and assisting them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
- Effectively work with stores in driving sales through existing product and upcoming product lines.
- Develop and nurture strong working relationships with key stakeholders at assigned ethnic stores.
- Act as the key point of contact for the relevant on-ground business-related matters, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Identity and evaluate opportunities to expand Al Safa Foods' product presence and distribution within ethnic stores across Ontario.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, marketing and new product development, to align strategies and launch new products or promotions.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), sales performance, pricing, market trends, and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and improvement.
- Conduct regular sales analysis, generate reports, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Work closely with the Ethnic Sales Head to account for any changes in demand and reflect that in sales forecast.
- Stay updated on industry trends, shoppers’ preferences, pricing, new products and regulatory changes that may impact Al Safa Foods' business with the ethnic stores.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.
