BIM Manager – Electrical Engineering

They provide high-quality engineering services across various sectors, including commercial, institutional, healthcare, and residential projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking a BIM Manager – Electrical to lead and enhance our client’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with extensive experience in electrical systems modeling and a deep understanding of industry best practices. The BIM Manager will be responsible for developing standards, overseeing a team of BIM Technicians, and driving innovation in project execution .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices for electrical systems.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Revit and AutoCAD Technicians , ensuring accuracy and consistency across projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate electrical models into overall building designs.
  • Oversee BIM coordination and clash detection , resolving conflicts between electrical and other building systems.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts to improve modeling efficiency and optimize project workflows.
  • Provide training and technical support to BIM team members, fostering continuous professional development.
  • Stay up to date with the latest BIM technologies and advancements, recommending innovative solutions to improve project delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technology , or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in BIM management, with a focus on electrical building systems .
  • Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks .
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles , including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
  • Experience with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination .
  • Leadership experience in managing and mentoring a team of BIM professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
