Description de posteSupervise the VAVE process to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement in product design and manufacturing. Review the VAVE reviews, ensuring evaluations are documented and actionable insights are generated. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of part data, enforcing data governance policies and standards across the organization. Enhance part data with required attributes to effectively describe the item and meet data management standards. Collaborate with various departments to define data requirements and implement effective data management practices. Supervise the ECR tracking process, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Evaluate and supervise change requests, assessing impacts on design, manufacturing, and project timelines. Oversee the operational support provided by the Engineering Data Administrators, ensuring that data management processes are executed efficiently and accurately. Serve as a point of contact for managers and staff regarding inquiries related to engineering data management, maintaining a strong customer service focus. Actively participate in strategy meetings and discussions to share insights and drive alignment across departments. Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Facilitate training sessions for team members on data governance and VAVE best practices, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of changes. 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated supervisory experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in PTC Windchill PLM and a comprehensive understanding of data management processes. Advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PDF tools; familiarity with data management software is highly advantageous. Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality outputs, particularly under tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information / Document Management, or a related field. Extensive experience in data governance and management processes, with a robust understanding of manufacturing workflows. Comprehensive knowledge of document control systems, emphasizing compliance and operational efficiency.
