ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Full Time)
The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is looking to hire a full time Administrative Assistant who will play a vital role as a team member of the Administration Department of our organization. This position will provide a variety of administrative supports to ensure the smooth functioning of the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Indigenous cultural values and principles and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Senior Executive Assistant and will report to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administrative supports : coordinating meetings and taking detailed meeting minutes, arranging travel for Senior Leadership Team, and managing various administrative requests from the Administration Team.
- Office management : ensure the office is well stocked and efficiently functioning, troubleshooting minor issues.
- Data management : assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations and other documentation for the Senior Leadership Team and / or the Board of Directors.
- Collaboration and communication : work collaboratively with team members and departments to ensure efficiencies of information.
- Prioritize tasks and mange multiple responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
- Cultural competency : demonstrate an understanding and respect for Indigenous cultures and protocols in all aspects of the work environment, and actively support a culturally safe environment for staff, clients and community.
