Our value public sector client is hiring a Senior Technology Architect to provide support with the implementation and configuration of CRTC NG-911 network . Background : The Canadian Radio-television Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has mandated the Modernizing of 9-1-1 networks to meet the public safety needs of Canadians. This requirement is for the provision of IM / IT services to support the technical coordination and architecture required for the implementation of an effective, interconnected system of systems for the processing of emergency 9-1-1 calls for the organization across Canada using a standardized method of interconnection recommended by industry standards and best practices. Tasks : Perform integration of the NG-911 network into the organization's Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), but not be limited to Network Infrastructure, Gateways, applications, data security and integrity; Provide technical advice on IT issues related to the systems and networks in the context of NG-911 integration; Prepare an analysis document of proposed NG-911 technology solutions and include the analysis and evaluation of potential alternative solutions; Review and comment on the design, test and implementation documentation produced for each PSAP’s NG-911 system in order to ensure consistency with the overall NG-911 network design and configuration specifications; Review the design, test and implementation documentation of any new application proposed by PSAPs for implementation within the organization's NG-911 network to ensure it meets networking standards; Provide instruction, advice and documentation required for 1st and 2nd line support of the organization's NG-911 network. This will include development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for day-to-day routine tasks, instructing support personnel on the detailed architecture and configuration of network services and providing advice to the Technical Authority (TA) on the amount and duration of instruction required by support personnel; Analyze requirements and capability deficiencies and conduct options analysis for the implementation of NG-911. Provide a report with recommendations on the best solution for infrastructure remediation and migration solution based on the results of the analysis; Conduct engineering, detailed design, development, testing and implementation of NG-911 capabilities or enhancements to existing systems; Develop technical documentation for engineering, testing, configuration, installation and deployment of NG-911 solutions in accordance with documentation standards; and Review Requests for Change (RFCs) and identify and escalate issues to the engineering team.
