WHAT YOULL BE DOING

• Accountable for the Enterprise Architecture (EA) discipline including business ownership of EA technology solutions.
• Responsible for development and leading the execution of EA strategy and framework establishing adaptive secure by design and lean governance models leading initiatives such as technology portfolio modernization and technical debt reduction.
• Ensures technology procurement is aligned with architecture principle and standards.
• Provides strategic direction for business digital roadmaps and partner with Infrastructure Leadership in providing inputs to their infrastructure technology planning through deep investment analysis.
• Oversees the identification evaluation and implementation of automation tools and technologies to streamline operations improve efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring compliance with architecture standards and policies.
• Partners with stakeholders to shape and prioritize the multi-year technology roadmap and transformation portfolio.
• Manages EA governance forums and architecture decisions that align with the municipal strategic plan master plans and technology roadmap.
• Manages portfolio alignment to capabilities value streams and service delivery objectives ensuring consistency across programs.
• Proactively identifies assesses and integrates emerging technologies and disruptive forces (such as Generative AI) into the enterprises strategic planning and architecture roadmaps.
• Accountable for regular reporting to leadership and governance committees on architecture maturity roadmap progress risks and outcomes.
• Leads change governance for architecture decisions integrates EA with change advisory and portfolio management processes to manage risk and ensure adoption.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

• Successful completion of a University Degree or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years directly related experience in business information solution and Enterprise Architecture including three (3) years of direct supervisory experience.
• Knowledge and expertise in Enterprise Architecture and EA certification required such as TOGAF Zachman.
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following architecture domains including: information architecture infrastructure architecture application architecture data architecture business architecture and/or security architecture to provide advice/expertise on product roadmaps and delivery.
