Laboratory Technician A

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for an Laboratory Technician A to join our lab working out of our Vancouver location. The successful candidate will be given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and assist with administrative and laboratory activities.

What you will be doing:

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
• Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report results.
• Perform analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

What you bring to the table:

• Post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in Science.
• 2+ years’ laboratory experience and basic laboratory skills, along with familiarity with lab processes.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbally communication.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
