Material Testing Technician Student

Inline Group Inc. has opportunities available for Materials Technician Students starting Spring 2026. In this role, you’ll support materials testing and quality assurance activities — including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt — in the field and / or laboratory across a variety of industrial and civil projects throughout Canada.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Field & Laboratory Testing – Conduct quality control and assurance testing on construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Sampling & Inspection – Prepare and collect representative samples for laboratory analysis and monitor material placement and workmanship on construction projects.
• Quality Monitoring – Identify and report any non-conformance issues or deviations to management promptly.
• Safety Leadership – Participate actively in Inline’s corporate and client HSE programs, promoting safe work practices and leading by example in the field and lab.
• Equipment Maintenance – Maintain, clean, and calibrate materials testing equipment and ensure vehicles are kept in good working order.
• Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with supervisors, clients, and team members to support project delivery and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Documentation & Reporting – Accurately record field data, testing results, and observations in compliance with quality control standards and Inline’s ISO 9001 Quality Program.
• Continuous Learning – Take initiative to develop your technical skills and understanding of materials testing processes through on-the-job training and mentorship.
