ETL Developer - DataStage, PL / SQL, Shell Scripting

Job Description

Job Title : ETL Developer

Experience : 6–8 years

Location : Calgary (Hybrid)

Primary Skill : PL / SQL

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using industry-standard ETL tools (DataStage preferred).
• Develop and optimize PL / SQL code for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Work extensively with MS SQL Server (preferred) or Oracle databases for data processing and validation.
• Perform data analysis, profiling, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts to support ETL workflows and automation.
• Use enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control‑M, StoneBranch, or similar to manage batch processes.
• Monitor ETL jobs, perform root‑cause analysis, and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and downstream teams to understand data requirements.
• Ensure adherence to data quality, performance, and security standards .
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
