A Snapshot of Your Day
The Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth and market share for Siemens Energy Grid Technologies Portfolio (high-voltage products including transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, arresters, insulators, substations, service, and digital grid) within an assigned territory. This individual will leverage deep technical knowledge of transmission systems, strong customer relationships, and strategic business development skills to promote products and solutions to utilities, EPC firms, and industrial clients involved in high-voltage power transmission and substation projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, gather client intelligence, and assess projects for potential sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their business needs, and represent Siemens Energy at industry events.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to spot risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver tailored technical presentations, proposals, and quotations to clients.
- Conduct regular customer meetings, site visits, and manage account data and contract negotiations.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed annual sales and revenue goals.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
- 5 or more years of experience in power transmission, substation, or utility market. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
- Experience selling high-voltage products (>69 kV), substations, services, and digital grid solutions.
- Established relationships with utilities, EPCs, and engineering firms, with a history of influencing key decisions.
- Demonstrated expertise in transmission systems, early-stage project identification, and CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Proven success in meeting sales targets, growing market share, and driving customer satisfaction across large territories.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
