Job Description :

The Mason Group is recruiting on behalf of one of our best clients A fast-growing and very successful consumer packaged goods company! The Mason Group has placed 10 candidates at this company in the past four years, all due to growth!

This company, which has close to 650 employees, is looking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager.

In this newly created role, the company is looking to hire a dynamic Financial Reporting Manager to work closely with the Corporate Controller and lead a team of 3.

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing, leading, supporting and performing duties related to the accounting function, including financial accounting / reporting and month-end closing;

as well as overseeing the year-end reporting including audit support and tax filings.

This role is a full-time office position, since there is a ton of collaboration between team members. The office is conveniently located in North York.

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing, leading, supporting and performing duties related to the accounting function, including but not limited to financial accounting / reporting and month-end closing;

as well as overseeing the year-end reporting including audit support and tax filings.

The Financial Reporting Manager also supports the Corporate Controller in other accounting functions including management reporting, account analysis, budgeting, cash flow and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements :

  • CPA designation
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience (CPG and manufacturing industries are a plus)
  • Management and people leadership experience
  • External audit experience gained from working at a public accounting firm
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Knowledge of SAP and its relevant accounting platforms
  • Knowledge of accounting programs for small business
  • Above average Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Will roll-up their sleeves to get the job done
