An Occupational Therapist working in schools plays a crucial role in supporting students' academic success and overall well-being.

They assess and address the unique needs of students, focusing on enhancing their ability to participate in school activities, such as learning, socializing, and self-care.

They collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop customized intervention plans that promote students' independence and skill development.

POSTING DETAILS Position Occupational Therapist Team - Associated Professional Start Date September 2024 Hours - ONE day per week (preference - Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday) Employment - Contract (2024 - 2025 school year) Location(s) - Varied / To be determined REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy Two to three years’ experience including conducting / collaborating with parents and school and District staff;

and providing indirect therapy. Eligible for membership in the College of Occupational Therapists of B.C. Possess a valid B.

C. Driver’s License Access to a reliable vehicle / means of transportation. Strong interpersonal and consultation skills Clear, accurate communication via written reports For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included : Resume and cover letter A copy of your degree A copy of the transcript (official or unofficial) for your program Scanned copy of your valid BC Driver’s license Clear driver’s abstract / history (can be obtained from ICBC) Email addresses for a minimum of three references (ideally, supervisors from your most recent role) PLEASE NOTE The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $50,000 to $104,000, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
