We are looking for an Intermediate-Senior Interior Designer that can work on multiple high-end projects
simultaneously (residential, hospitality AND multi-family design). This is a full-time position, and only local candidates should apply.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Interface closely with the Creative Director to ensure alignment with the House of
Bohn brand and style
Actively contribute to the growth and success of House of Bohn through
exceptional design, client / consultant relationships, quality documentation and
staff mentoring
Generate design concepts and solutions that convey the House of Bohn brand
with highly creative, concept-driven, and artistic interior design projects
- Maintain clear communication internally and externally
- Coordinate with external team such as architects, mechanical, electrical and
structural engineers
Liaise with clients throughout the entire design project, keeping them current on
the design process
Participate in key meetings with internal teams and clients during pre-tender
phases
Quality control by reviewing and redlining drawing packages and ensuring
package is up to House of Bohn standards
- Produces and manages project schedule
- Oversees project deliverables and objectives while managing project scope and
hours
Review shop drawings and packages to guarantee completeness and accurate
constructive execution
Conduct periodic site visits to ensure construction is faithful to construction
documents
Address site issues by providing timely and appropriate solutions in liaison with
internal design team
Monitor site work and flag work that is not completed in accordance to design
intent
- Prepare and present change orders to clients in a timely manner for approval
- Handle Contract Admin, issue Addendum, and Site Instructions complete with
narratives
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications :
- Must be local to Vancouver, BC
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Interior Design
- Hold a Degree or Diploma in Interior Design
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Knowledge of Sketch-Up, Photoshop and InDesign
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and millwork
packages
- Understanding of BC Building Code
- Proven experience working on Hospitality, Retail and Residential Design projects (Single Family and Multi-
Family)
- A keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, and multitask across several projects at once
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as a
team
- Must have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic
- Ability to produce complete construction drawings.
- Proficiency in millwork detailing and specifications and reviewing shop drawings
- Be able to manage and run multiple projects at varying phases
- Ability to communicate design through sketching and computer rendering
- Ability to manage and mentor a junior team
- Must have experience in working with a team
