Security Communications Supervisor

Overview : $19.00 / hour

This is a vacant position. Candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years.

• Oversee the daily operations of the communication / dispatch area
• Assist with hiring, training, coaching and performance management for Dispatch team
• Work alongside Dispatchers to receive and dispatch emergency calls by telephone and radio
• Respond to internal and external telephone calls
• Transfer information to the appropriate person in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
• Ensure appropriate and thorough documentation of multi-dispatch calls
• Assist with other duties as required

Qualifications :

You!

Candidates enrolled in or graduate of an Emergency Telecommunications or 911 Communications program or possess equivalent work experience

Proven leadership skills with the ability to identify issues and problem solve effectively

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Individuals that are highly organized, able to multi-task, and prioritize tasks efficiently

Previous experience with multi-line phone systems is an asset

Availability to work flexible hours, including late evenings and on weekends and holidays

Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and / or face shield, non-slip shoes etc.)
