Position Description :
The School of Earth, Environment & Society at McMaster University is seeking candidates to fill a one-year contractually limited, teaching-focused faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Earth and Environmental Sciences. The preferred start date for the appointment is August 1st, 2025.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Earth and Environmental Science, Geology or a closely-related discipline at the time of appointment and should have a demonstrated a record of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. Duties include teaching up to five, one semester fall / winter courses that may be selected from the list below, and support of large, online courses in the spring and summer terms.
There is no expectation that the candidate will develop an independent laboratory research program.
