Roles & Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures. Dismantle machines using tools necessary.

Update inventory count as items is used for tasks and repairs. Assist in machinery installation when needed. Adhere to assembly and installation instructions set forth in vendor manuals.

Fabricate new machine parts if original parts are missing or damaged. Identify and correct problems found in machines, equipment, or processes to facilitate production.

Repair machinery components as needed. Diagnostics and repairs on motors, pumps, valves, controls, PLC’s, and metal fabrication equipment.

Work on a wide range of projects. Assist in training, directing, and supervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting and certifying their work.

Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Licensed Journeyman Millwright. Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment, especially metal forming equipment.

Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Able to fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, or overhaul.

Thorough knowledge of load bearing capabilities of the equipment to be installed, assembled, or dismembered. Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.

Good written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with quality standards. Accurate and highly analytical. Electrical experience is an asset.

Experience in supervising and mentoring apprentices. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Working Conditions Travel required.

Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. Commercial / Industrial environment. Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.

Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards. Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
