Airswift is working with one of our major Oil and Gas clients to find a Financial Analyst to join their team in Calgary, AB.
Qualifications : Required :
- Degree in Finance, commerce, or Economics
- Ability to conduct deep analysis, digitalize reports, creating and developing repeatable and standardized business processes.
- Travel required (10-20%)
- 10 years of experience
Preferred :
CPA and / or MBARefining experience is preferred.Understanding of Downstream operations and manufacturingDigitalization experience is considered an assetThe main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
Responsibilities :
MD&A Analysis including Downstream SupplementalIncome Analysis (Operating Cost and Capital)Quarterly Reporting Segment ReviewExternal reporting support for Planning, Downstream management team and refining consolidation.Annual external reportingBoard package supportAIF ReviewGross Margin and market capture analysis Communication and coordination with the site teams and corporate support functions to maintain standardization and governance.Build and maintain dashboards in various platforms such as SharePoint and Power BI.Reporting validation and supportTechnical Competencies :
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applicationsProficient use of SAP and Business WarehouseAbility to digitalize data using platforms such as SharePoint and Power BIStrong Financial AcumenStrong understanding of refinery operations, marketing or trading.Core Competencies :
