Responsibilities include : - Childcare for our 4 month old daughter while Mom & Dad get work done, exercise, etc. - Taking our daughter for walks in the stroller, doing development work, tummy time, reading with her, entertaining and engaging with her - Tidying, laundry, baking, dishes, organizing the house, etc.
Supporting Mom as needed with other household tasks - On occasion provide childcare while Mom or Dad are out of the house for appointments and errands (max 2-3 hours at a time) - Extra hours for date nights or flexible evening / weekend availability would be a bonus!Requirements : - Preference for someone who has experience caring for infants - personally or professionally!- Able to commit to a predictable schedule, and available to be with us longer term (min 6 months) - References and police check - CPR training / first aid certification- Bonus if you are bilingual (English / French or Danish) and comfortable engaging with baby in French or Danish Details : - 4-5 days per week for 3-4 hour shifts at a time.
Exact days and times are flexible, we would work together to create a predictable schedule. A sample schedule would be : Monday 7-11 AM, Tuesday 8-12, Wednesday 2-6, Thursday 7-11, Friday 1-4 - Located in Centretown, near Elgin & the 417 (we have parking in our driveway)- Available to start as soon as possible Pay : $25 / hr Optional : Possibility to work up to 30 hours per week with a Nanny share with our best friends (who have a 5 month old) We are looking for someone who is quick to learn, a self-starter, committed, and excited to engage with infants.
The role is split between childcare and household tasks (while baby naps or feeds). Each day will look different; you should be willing to roll up your sleeves and jump into whatever Mom & Dad need support with on a given day.
