Freelance Controller

AIP Connect is partnering with a large consulting firm as they proactively look to build talent into the future across the Canadian market.

Responsibilities of the Controller may include but are not limited to :

• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Period-end financial reporting and working paper preparation
• Financial management
• Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and inputs
• Understanding, implementing, and monitoring an adequate control environment
• Supervising an accounting team
• Proficiency in accounting software and ability to transact in multiple programs
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., MS Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Job costing skills
• Ability to work with software and learn new software quickly
• Prioritization and management of competing priorities with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
