Outreach Support Worker

Resicare Society of Calgary consists of a team of professionals who are dedicated and committed to providing comprehensively integrated and high-quality support services to disabled individuals.

We are seeking an experienced Female Support worker who lives in the SW area near Westbrook to support our female individual with an intellectual disability.

Duties will include community outings, appointments, attending workshops of her interest, movies, shopping and eating out. She is currently taking courses at Bow Valley College from Jan. to end of April. In the past she has taken relationship and anger management courses through Supported Lifestyles. Just this past year she has completed Massage Therapy through BVC.

Asset : Fluency in Urdu language

Hours : Mon. - Thurs. 3 : 00 - 6 : 00pm - Additional hours are possible when client has completed her courses.

Qualifications :

• A Diploma or equivalent formal education in Rehabilitation Services, Social Services, Health Care Aide.
• 2 years of experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities.
• A valid First Aid / CPR and Medication Administration certification are required.
• Must drive and have a valid class 5 driver's license.
• Recent Police clearance within 6 months is REQUIRED upon interview.
