Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you’ll be joining our Halifax office, while also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid work model. In recent years, we have prioritized significant investments in our physical office space to provide a bright, vibrant, highly functional, technologically advanced, and collaborative working environment for our team.
Regardless of your physical location, you will have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXP’s multidisciplinary team from within the region and across the company on some of Atlantic Canada’s largest and most exciting projects! If desired, you will also be given the opportunity to contribute to unique and challenging projects outside of Atlantic Canada as well.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of building systems and detailing, with the ability to work independently, developing and coordinating contract documents and document checking.
- Work in a collaborative environment with the Project Manager, Engineer, Architects and other Technical and Design Staff.
- Complete technical drawings in Revit.
What your experience looks like
- 5+ years' experience working as an Electrical Technologist.
- Graduation from a Mechanical Engineering Technology program accredited by the (TAC), a national accreditation organization for engineering technology and applied science professions.
- Must be eligible for membership by TechNova, the certifying organization for Engineering and Applied Science Technicians and Technologists in Nova Scotia
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D producing technical documents and construction drawings.
- Knowledge and understanding of architectural and electrical standards, building sciences, construction technologies and practices.
- Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada, CSA and Canadian Electrical Code
- Ability to work with a team to produce working drawings and 3D models of electrical designs for innovative multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Dedicated to meeting project deadlines and working efficiently.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize independently.
- Ability to manage several tasks on multiple projects simultaneously.
