Position Summary
The Account Manager establishes, maintains, and expands relationships with new and existing customers. The Account Manager represents the entire range of Traffix products and services to customers while managing the day-to-day operations of assigned accounts. Account Managers carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas : business development, full cycle order processing; customer service; and carrier recruitment / management.
Responsibilities :
- Supporting sales with meeting or exceeding established sales quotas
- Developing professional relationships with assigned TRAFFIX customers
- Providing status updates to customers and / or sales when requested
- Working with Customer Service to track shipment pickup, in-transit updates, and deliveries
- Managing in transit delays to have minimal impact on the customer
- Working with the TRAFFIX Bond Team when TRAFFIX Continuous Bond is in use
- Proactively identifying potential problems and / or issues and providing a solution whenever possible
- Managing customer complaints and providing a resolution
- All related filing and record keeping

Position Details :
Manage, service, and grow customer relationshipsProviding quotes on adhoc and contract businessCollects all required paperwork POD’s) from potential customers and follows up accordinglyFull cycle order processing ensuring that all loads are accurately received and entered in the TMS systemEnsures all required paperwork is accurately completed, electronically filed, and communicated to all necessary partiesResponsible for carrier communications, such as providing detailed pickup / delivery information; as well as, managing any in-transit delays such as mechanical failure, accident, etc.Tracks shipments from pickup through delivery ensuring accurate up to date information is always available and communicated appropriately to customers and team membersEnsures all customer specific pickup and delivery KPIs are metCommunicates any service delays or failures to the customer prior to the occurrence (or as soon as possible)Assists drivers on an ongoing basis to find locations, get directions or contact third parties to order to ensure on time deliveriesPerform any other reasonable duties assigned or directed by management as necessary to ensure the continued success of Traffix and the Logistics Department.Requirements
Strong sales background with the ability to build strong professional relationshipsAbility to communicate effectively with employees, carriers, drivers, and customersStrong knowledge of North American trucking regulations and geographyAssessment techniques such as : examining, questioning, evaluating, and reportingAbility to create granular reports based on customer requirementsBe able to effectively analyse potential problems / issues and proactively address to minimize impact to the customer using creative and resourceful problem solvingEffective planning and organization with attention to details and accuracyAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlinesA team player who can also work with minimal supervisionWillingness to work flexible hoursAbility to sit for long periods of timeEducation & Experience
3+ years of experience as an AM with the Transportation environmentExisting network of industry relationships requiredPrevious related sales experience preferredProficiency in MS Office SuiteWillingness to travel if requiredExperience working with TMW is considered an assetCapable of working in a high pressure, fast paced environment where quick thinking and proactive problem solving is required daily
