Job Description
The Equipment Warehouse Tool Tech will perform maintenance checks, minor repairs and services to a multitude of small hand tools and light equipment.
- Pick orders as required through Tool Request Forms, walk-in and phone-in requests
- Load, unload and identify tools and equipment and distribute them to the appropriate locations within the warehouse
- Complete outgoing and incoming inspections of equipment
- Responsible for general housekeeping in the warehouse, storage yard and external yard / shop
- Be competent in coordinating equipment repairs with vendors.
- Within the normal warehouse scope, Perform minor tool repairs as necessary.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in tool / shop work, and the construction industry.
- Experience in tool rental is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract is required
- Experience in operation of larger vehicles and securing loads is an asset
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR is an asset
- Able to operate required trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Requires ability to climb ladders for heights of up to 20ft.
- Job requires ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80Lbs) for 50ft, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labour under adverse field conditions
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, using abdominal and lower-back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue, and be able to jump, sprint and throw and object effectively
Starting rate of pay is $25-$27 per hour depending on experience
